In May 2024, Vandelay Hospitality announced that it was scrapping plans for a new Italian restaurant, Montecito’s, that would be located in a new building at Snider Plaza. They would instead take over the former Douglas Bar and Grill space for a new Mexican concept — El Molino. Over a year later, El Molino is finally opening in the Park Cities, and we got a first look (and taste) at the new spot.

Hudson House, the popular East Coast-inspired restaurant from Dallas-based Vandelay Hospitality Group, is set to debut its Frisco location on Aug. 6. Located at 3475 Preston Road, this marks the ninth Hudson House and the seventh in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Le Bistrot Bar Sardine, a new Parisian bistro serving authentic French cuisine, is set to open in Snider Plaza in University Park on Friday, Dec. 20. This new restaurant is from Vandelay Hospitality Group, the parent company of multiple high-profile Dallas eateries such as Hudson House, Anchor Sushi Bar and Brentwood.

Modern or traditional. Either seems to be the go-to interior design for a sushi restaurant. And both are fine, but Anchor Sushi Bar is aiming for something else entirely. At the Preston Hollow location, the interior is nautical — boat-like, yes — but with plaid carpeting and plush leather booths. The walls are covered with Sean Connery-signed photos. Glorious, I think.

Vandelay Hospitality (known for Hudson House, Jack & Harry’s, and more) will open a Parisian bistro at Snider Plaza on Friday, December 20. Bar Sardine is an intimate, moody space inspired by restaurants in Paris. CEO Hunter Pond brought on École Ducasse-trained Executive Chef Elliot Azoulay (he moved from Paris) to lead the new restaurant.

The newest restaurant addition to Snider Plaza in University Park wants to transport you nearly 5,000 miles away to Paris. Le Bistrot Bar Sardine, which comes from Vandelay Hospitality, the Dallas restaurant group behind Hudson House, D.L. Mack’s and Anchor Sushi Bar, among others, is set to open on Dec. 20, 2024.

Jack & Harry’s is set to open this weekend in Snider Plaza. This restaurant and bar, meant to showcase a bit of New Orleans charm, is from Vandelay Hospitality of Dallas Hollywood. The company’s portfolio of restaurants are all a bit posh but approachable, like Drake’s Hollywood, Hudson House, DL Macks and Anchor Sushi Bar.
