Hunter Pond is opening two of his celebrated restaurant concepts—Hudson House and D.L. Mack’s—in the iconic pedestrian oriented shopping center of Dallas, West Village Q4 2025. These additions mark another milestone for his locally based hospitality group, Vandelay Hospitality.

Hudson House will take over the former Hugo’s Invitados (and previously Mi Cocina) space at 3699 McKinney Avenue, Suite 200. The new 5,600-square-foot restaurant will evoke the charm of a classic New England dining institution.

The new D.L. Mack’s will occupy 4,600 square feet in the former Medici space at 3699 McKinney Ave, Suite 106 with its classic Chicago Tavern feel.

Since its debut in 2017, Hudson House has become a Dallas dining staple with their East Coast comfort food set in an inviting, upscale neighborhood atmosphere. Known for its “World’s Coldest Martini”, flown-in-daily East Coast oysters and cult-following cheeseburger, Hudson House has become synonymous with elevated, timeless dining. The West Village opening will mark the seventh Hudson House location in the DFW Metroplex.

D.L. Mack’s, a Chicago-inspired neighborhood tavern, is known for its crave-worthy cracker crust pizzas and classic American fare. Designed to reflect the timeless appeal of a Midwest-style corner tavern, the space features rich, nostalgic details. This will be the third D.L. Mack’s outpost in Dallas with the original in University Park and the second location in Preston Hollow.

“We’re thrilled to bring both DL Mack’s and Hudson House to West Village. This center has been one of the heartbeats of Dallas’ entertainment and shopping districts for decades, and we’re excited to contribute to its vibrant dining scene with two concepts that we believe truly resonate with the community. DL Mack’s and Hudson House will not only bring distinct energy and flavor to the area, but also complement the existing tenant mix by offering elevated yet approachable dining experiences. We’re looking forward to West Village’s continued evolution,” says, Hunter Pond, Founder & CEO of Vandelay Hospitality

The addition of Hudson House and D.L. Mack’s underscores West Village’s continued growth as one of Dallas’ premier lifestyle and dining destinations, blending elevated cuisine with vibrant neighborhood energy.
